General Information on Data Processing

Google reCAPTCHA

To protect our contact form from misuse, we use “reCAPTCHA” provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Angel Estrada was born in the province of Carchi Ecuador. After spending his first years there, he then moved to the capital, Quito, to continue his education. Over the years he showed an unusual gift for teaching, usually small groups who needed tutoring. He also worked with primary schools organizing small summer courses.

His vocation to become a language teacher stemmed from all this experience; there followed a five year period of higher education, eventually specializing in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.
His dedication, knowledge and experience earned him a position in the prestigious school of languages of the capital, where he worked for 5 years.

He then went on to work in other international institutions, gaining ever more experience in the way in which pupils approach and absorb a foreign language.

Academic qualifications

• Has taken part in many teaching courses and workshops at the faculty of literature and philology of the University of Quito (Ecuador).
• Courses: 2 years of English, marketing, human relations and pedagogy.

Mallorca Academy gives Spanish classes at all levels to all people interested in learning or improving their Spanish.

Our courses are practical and easily understood because we use our own exercises based on a program and study plan. Students learn in class through speaking, writing and drills with the professor. Students are given exercises to practice at home.

The method and study plan are oriented to communication.

Accelerated Basic Course ( 20 hours / 40 hours / 60 hours)

These are courses designed for students who don’t have much knowledge of Spanish, and don’t have time for an “in depth” course. Therefore we have chosen suitable themes and situations which the student will be able to handle himself skillfully and express himself clearly. We use a direct method characterized by quick assimilation combined with correct grammar, vocabulary, reading and pronunciation.

Regular Courses ( 40 hours – 120 hours )

These are courses for people who may or may not have knowledge of Spanish. The courses are designed to lay a strong foundation in Spanish and improve knowledge of the language through dialogue. The courses are directed to students who want to learn the language in an orderly progression. the student learns basic grammarstructures in conversation and the courses are divided into three levels.

Dear Angel,

When I decided to move to Mallorca, to start a new Business, I made up my mind to learn the language of the country. I bought two sets of CDs that were supposed to make learning Spanish easy. However, I found that it was very difficult to understand the basic teaching, and it was also very boring .

I started my lessons with you doing eight hours over three days each week, and I was worried that it would be too much to take-in. In the event, I found that the time passed very quickly, and your method of teaching kept my interest throughout each session.

It´s hard to believe that just five weeks ago, I did not know any Spanish at all, and now I can understand around eighty-per-cent of most conversations. I particularly like the fact that you teach the proper pronunciation, and that you insist on continual practise of the verbal conjugations. This makes it possible to understand more easily when I get it wrong.

I have found the whole experience very enjoyable and I look forward to starting another series of more advanced lessons, at the end of the year. I would recommend your courses to anyone who wants to learn real Spanish. The kind that allows you to converse with the local people in terms that they can understand.
